Boats, tonight at Cagibi

Hey, remember Snoop Dogg? He was the Long Beach-born rapper who scared your parents in, like, 1993 before becoming clothing purveyor, movie star and general pop cultural figure. Anyway, at some point, he discovered Rastafarianism, a sort of spiritual awakening that director Andy Capper turned into a feature-length documentary called Reincarnated, which screens tonight at the PHI Centre. 407 St-Pierre, 8 p.m., $11.25

Day 2 of the Mile End Poets’ Festival is organized by Canadian live poetry journal LitLive, which also launches its latest issue.
