Boats, tonight at Cagibi

Hey, remember Snoop Dogg? He was the Long Beach-born rapper who scared your parents in, like, 1993 before becoming clothing purveyor, movie star and general pop cultural figure. Anyway, at some point, he discovered Rastafarianism, a sort of spiritual awakening that director Andy Capper turned into a feature-length documentary called Reincarnated, which screens tonight at the PHI Centre. 407 St-Pierre, 8 p.m., $11.25

Men’s clothing e-tailer Frank & Oak and Lunice launch their collaborative effort at Off the Hook, complete with tunes from LeDisko. 1021 Ste-Catherine, 7-10 p.m., free

Day 2 of the Mile End Poets’ Festival is organized by Canadian live poetry journal LitLive, which also launches its latest issue. Top Canadian performance poets David Bateman and Shari-D Wilson will perform, and there will be a capella by Moe Clark and Marie-Claire Durand, as well as a Word Race speed poetry contest. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 8:30 p.m., $8

Vancouver’s Rococode top an indie pop/rock ’n’ roll triple bill, backed by locals Adam Strangler and Wilder. Quai des Brumes (4481 St-Denis), 8:30 p.m., $12

Expect skate rock tonight at Death House, where Whiskey Tax will be celebrating the release of an album alongside good bros Bear Mace and Wetmetal. 679 St-Rémi, Apt. 735, 10 p.m.

Winnipeg noise poppers Boats, along with J.M. Farr and local dude Dagan Harding, are at Cagibi. 5490 St-Laurent, 8:30 p.m., $7
