All-Taylor Swift cover set: now that’s scary.

Cult MTL throws a Halloween bash and launches its November issue with Goose Hut (also performing an all-Taylor Swift set as Taylor Swifter) and DJs Parklife, Amyl Nitrate and Fixyourbitrate. Royal Phoenix (5788 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $5 ($7 for the costume-unfriendly)

Guy Maddin’s Dracula: Pages from a Virgin’s Diary screens at the Cinémathèque Québécoise. 335 Maisonneuve E., 6:30 p.m.

Help Concordia’s Greenhouse get ahead by attending its fundraiser. Entry comes with popcorn, candy, a raffle ticket, the vocal stylings of the Fruiting Bodies, a dance party and a screening of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Concordia Greenhouse (1455 de Maisonneuve, 13th floor), 7:30 p.m., $5–10 PWYC

Get wasted with Municipal Waste. With equal billing from Napalm Death and support from Exhumed and Vektor, tonight’s show is guaranteed to leave blood, guts and, in all likelihood, puke on the floor. Foufounes Électriques (87 Ste-Catherine E.), 7:30 p.m., $22/25

If there’s one genre of music that screams Halloween, it’s gotta be psychobilly. Lucky for you, France’s The Kemp and Montreal rebel country/psychobilly-tinged Joel Kaiser and the Devil’s Own will be raising hell. Café Chaos (2031 St-Denis), 9 p.m., $10

Tireless local noisemaker Lisa Gamble’s Gambletron and Montreal’s shock-rock pride, Corpusse, headline a free show with Otherpeoplesmusic, Star Hunters and Limbswanderedalone (apparently, compounded-word band names are a new trend). Bistro Araucaria (5607 parc avenue), 9 p.m., free
