The Salon du Livre Montreal book fair will be at Palais des Congrès from Nov. 22 to 26

Wednesday, Nov 22 , 9 a.m. to Sunday, Nov 26 , 6 p.m.

At a time of great upheaval environmental, societal and technological, the Salon du Livre Montreal Book Fair, presented by Radio-Canada, places our humanity at the heart of its 46th edition. To be human is to theme of the great literary meeting that will highlight our extraordinary capacity of invention, the richness of our imagination and the unifying power of books. From Nov. 22 to 26, at the Palais des Congrès, readers of all ages will be able to enjoy resolutely contemporary programming.

“More than ever, it is essential to celebrate our creativity and the unifying power of books. The Salon brings together a great diversity of voices, a multitude of singularities, hence a certain collective harmony emerges. By placing humans at the heart of our programming and the event, we wish to highlight this need fundamental to living together,” declared Olivier Gougeon, director of the Salon.

During major interviews, one-on-ones or essential round tables, key authors of Quebec literature, such as Kim Thúy, Michel Rabagliati, Chrystine Brouillet, Stanley Péan, Michel Jean, Monique Proulx, Nicole Brossard, Akos Verboczy, Audrée Wilhelmy, Marie-Hélène Poitras, Dominique Demers, Lorrie Jean-Louis, Martine Delvaux or Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard; as well as prestigious international guests, including the Haitian Gary Victor, the Ukrainian Andréï Kourkov, the Portuguese José Rodrigues dos Santos, the American Zachary Richard, the Franco-Belgian Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt and the French Sarah Chiche, Neige Sinno and Frédéric Lenoir, will present through their works the multiple facets of the human being.
