Sonnet to science. Ode to magic. Art Exhibition.

Thursday, Sep 1 , 12 p.m. to Sunday, Sep 4 , 5 p.m.

In his poem “Sonnet to Science,” Edgar Allan Poe questioned scientific progress and the industrialization that followed. He saw science as a rival to the imagination and magic of our world. However, two centuries later, today’s artists are proving the opposite: science now holds the power to create new mediums and to fuel hybridization processes—an invaluable source of creation.

Sonnet to Science. Ode to Magic aims to ease the tension between the rational and the irrational, the sensible and the foolish, science and magic.

About Projet Casa

Projet Casa is an initiative of contemporary visual art lovers Danielle Lysaught and Paul Hamelin. In November 2019, they acquired a bourgeois residence on Avenue de l’Esplanade, the former B&B Casa Bianca, and made the choice to dedicate the rooms on the ground floor to a cultural vocation by inviting exhibitions and other artistic events.

The objective is to promote an intimate and friendly encounter with current works and artists while taking advantage of the warm nature of the space.

The Projet Casa calendar is a series of short-term events (less than a month) and focuses on current questions on the issues facing our society.
