Passarim: A tribute to Tom Jobim, creator of Bossa Nova

About Passarim:
Passarim is a reunion of artists united by their love for Brazilian music, particularly the Bossa Nova of Antonio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto. The project began in 2017 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Jobim’s first gold album, “Passarim” (1987). Their sound blends renewed Bossa Nova vibes with vocal effects, electric guitars, synths, and a touch of psychedelia, resulting in classy and magnetic performances.

In addition to “Passarim,” the show features other masterpieces by Jobim, which have delighted audiences at major jazz venues and theatres around São Paulo since 2017. Passarim’s performances often include special guests such as Jaques and Paula Morelenbaum, original members of Jobim’s ensemble.

In 2024, Passarim embarks on their first international tour, and Montreal is a proud stop on this exciting journey.
