ERICH BARGANIER: “GEISSLERLEIDER” ALBUM RELEASE SHOW

People Places Records presents a special album release show at La Sala Rossa in celebration of Erich Barganier’s new album, Geisslerlieder. Barganier will be joined by fellow guitar buds Emmanuel Lacopo, Patrick O’Reilly, and Andrew Noseworthy.

This suite of baroque-ish movements presents a grotesque antithesis to the stereotypical “guitar god,” centered on the idea of masculine failure through the lens of the electric guitar solo. All of the guitars on the album are prepared, digitally manipulated, detuned, struck with hammers, combs, and pipes.

The quartet of guitarists will also play Julius Eastman’s “Buddha” and solo sets.
