DYSNYSTAXY A Condition of Half Sleep

Wednesday, Oct 9 , 5 p.m. to Sunday, Nov 3 , 5 p.m.

DYSNYSTAXY

A Condition of Half Sleep

From October 9th to November 3rd, 2024

Artist : Pierre-Yves Girard

Curator : Sidonie Gaulin

Projet Casa has the great pleasure of inviting you to Pierre-Yves Girard’s solo exhibition.

The works in DYSNYSTAXY – A Condition of Half Sleep are faithful to Pierre-Yves Girard’s creative process as, with each canvas, he renews his relationship with oil paint, his medium of choice. Attentive to the textures and colors that oil can produce, Girard creates paintings that are alive and inhabited, echoing the forms found in nature, bestowing the medium with its own agency. Working at the intersection of abstraction and figuration, he invites viewers to interpret his paintings freely, as different images reveal themselves to each individual. Presenting his work both at Projet Casa and at Galerie Yves Louis-Seize in Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, the artist sees this exhibition as an expression of the joy of creation, which he hopes will never diminish.
