Ballroom Blitz Combo: Dance Night

The City of Westmount is thrilled to host the 11-piece little big band Ballroom Blitz Combo for a dancing evening on April 29 at Victoria Hall. Get ready to dance the night away to classics and less commonly heard gems of the Big Band swing era as well as great ballroom tango, mambo, foxtrot, samba and waltz rhythms.

Enter the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall and be transported by the rich heritage of this centennial building. During the 1930s and 1940s, Westmounters and Montrealers alike flocked to the big-band dances that were held here weekly. Over the decades, different styles dominated the Hall and big names in music performed on its stage, notably a young Oscar Peterson. This month, be part of a new generation of people swinging, sliding and hustling on the classic hardwood floors of Victoria Hall at Ballroom Blitz!

This event is open to all and tickets can be purchased in advance online for $20 or at the door for $25, cash. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music and dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight. A cash bar will serve drinks and snacks. Bring your dancing shoes!
