Meet the Montreal Force, the city’s new women’s hockey team

Home games will be played at seven locations across Quebec for the inaugural 2022–23 season.

The Premier Hockey Federation has unveiled the name and logo for the city’s new women’s hockey team, the Montreal Force. The team colours are maroon, black and red, with a primary logo shaped letter ‘F’ that features a fleur-de-lis embedded in the crest. The seventh team in the PHF — featuring Sam Isbell, Brigitte Laganière and Jade Downie-Landry (pictured), among others — will play their home games at seven locations across Quebec during their inaugural 2022–23 season.

“We wanted a powerful name to distinguish ourselves in this amazing hockey market and represent who we are across the women’s sports landscape. We are a force, both on and off the ice, with strong and confident women who will showcase their strength in all facets from competition to community involvement. We are a family of difference makers and role models who will make our province proud.”
