UNIQLO to open two new stores at Fairview Pointe Claire & Promenades St-Bruno

The two new stores will open on March 4 and 25, respectively.

Japanese retailer UNIQLO has confirmed that it will be expanding its presence in the Montreal area, opening two new stores at CF Fairview Pointe Claire and CF Promenades St-Bruno on March 4 and 25, respectively. The move doubles the number of stores in Quebec, and increase UNIQLO’s Canadian presence to 16 locations.

To mark the occasion, UNIQLO will be donating $10,000 worth of clothing to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, to help children and pregnant women in Montreal.

UNIQLO has also teamed up with Quebec visual artists Julia GR and Benoit Tardif to design limited-edition tote bags unique to each new community. The bags will be offered to the first 300 customers during the opening weekend of UNIQLO CF Fairview Pointe Claire and CF Promenades St-Bruno.

“As UNIQLO establishes itself in the Quebec market and spreads the values and philosophy of the LifeWear concept ‘made for all,’ we strive not only to provide the highest quality products to our customers, but also to become valued members of the places in which we operate. With this commitment in mind, we are very pleased to partner with local artists, as well as businesses and charities, to show our support for the vibrant communities we will reach.”

—Yuichiro Kaneko, CEO of UNIQLO Canada

The new CF Fairview Pointe-Claire store is 15,000 square feet and will be located in the mall’s main lobby, while the 12,000 square-foot CF Promenades St-Bruno store is located on the ground floor near the food court.

The first UNIQLO store in Quebec opened in October 2020, at the Eaton Centre in Montreal, followed by a location at CF Carrefour Laval in March 2021.

UNIQLO has partnered with Montreal luxury chocolate boutique Etat de Choc to create Maple Dark Chocolate with Miso Roasted Rice, nodding to UNIQLO’s Japanese roots and adding a Canadian twist. A selection of State of Shock confections will be sold in store at the Montreal Eaton Centre location this month, and the first 300 customers of each new store will receive a bar.
