Quebec to announce reopening of restaurants Jan. 31, cinemas & show venues Feb. 7

Sports and limited private gatherings will also be permitted, according to multiple sources.

Radio-Canada and multiple sources are reporting that the Quebec government is expected to announce the reopening of restaurants, cinemas and show venues in a 2 p.m. press conference today. Quebec restaurants are said to be reopening at 50% capacity on Monday, Jan. 31, the same date that the restriction on youth sports and private gatherings will reportedly be lifted (with certain limitations still in place).

Quebec is also expected to announce the reopening of cinemas and show venues on Feb. 7, though no details about capacity limitations for those businesses have been specified by sources.
