Majority of Canadians expect to be infected with Omicron regardless of precautions

Parents with children in grade school are especially resigned to the idea of inevitable infection.

According to a new study by the Angus Reid Institute, the majority of Canadians (55%) expect to contract Omicron regardless of the precautions they take. The percentage increases to 63% among parents with children in grade school.

The same study by Angus Reid also found that 2 in 5 Canadians (39%) want governments to end restrictions and let Canadians self-isolate if they’re at risk.
