This past year, Boucher experienced the best statistical season of his career. He averaged 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and was an early contender for Most Improved Player. Boucher predominantly played backup centre to Aron Baynes, who was waived by the Raptors earlier this week.

Next season, Chris Boucher will play alongside fellow Montrealer Khem Birch. Birch recently signed a three-year, $20-million deal with the Raptors.
