Montreal Pride week climaxes with the annual parade, a festive celebration for the LGBT community (and anyone who likes dazzling costumes and dance music) and a reminder of how far they’ve come and still need to go to truly gain equal rights and mainstream acceptance for the more marginalized groups under the LGBT umbrella. Look out for Justin Trudeau, who’s making history this year as the first Canadian PM to walk in a series of Pride parades across the country. On René-Levesque, departing from Guy at 1 p.m. and ending at Sanguinet.

Raw Moments and Moto Made are bringing the talent to Piknic Électronik’s Solotech and Vidéotron Mobile stages, respectively, as the weekly outdoor dance party returns to its usual space by Alexander Calder’s “L’Homme” sculpture. Parc Jean-Drapeau, 2–9:30 p.m., $13.50/$15

St-Henri wine & cocktail bar and restaurant Loïc celebrates its first anniversary, inviting the public to raise a glass and maybe try a special dish from the kitchen, and enjoy a DJ set by the Lyonz. 5001 Notre-Dame W., after 4 p.m.

Petite-Patrie art gallery le Repaire des 100 talents hosts a vernissage for I Am Mad as Hell, a group exhibition focusing on protest art from artists like Artact Qc, Frédéric Caron, Mary Lou Freel, Emmanuel Laflamme, Annie Marois and more. 5867 St-Hubert, 4:30–9 p.m., free

If you’re a fan of German director Werner Herzog — or have recently discovered him via his analysis of Kanye West’s “Famous” video — his latest film is having a limited run at Cinéma du Parc. Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World explores the digital landscape in a way that only Herzog can. 3575 Parc, 5 and 9 p.m. (different hours this Monday through Thursday), $12/$11 for young adults (14–25) & seniors
