Famous curator Hans Ulrich Obrist’s 20-year long regenerative project do it is being executed at Galerie de l’UQAM this month, and this afternoon and evening will see a series of performances in which local artists will find original ways to follow instructions proposed by other local and international artists. Today’s schedule features Thierry Marceau, Wants & Needs Dance, Alexis O’Hara and Rodolphes-Yves Lapointe. 1400 Berri, 12–8 p.m., free

Imago Theatre’s powerful new production Pig Girl, by Governor General’s Award-winning playwright Colleen Murphy, begins its second (and final) week of performances at the Centaur Theatre tonight. Senegalese Québécois pop singer Karim Ouellet is playing a very special show at Laval’s Salle André-Mathieu, accompanied by l’Orchestre symphonique de Laval. 475 l’Avenir, 8 p.m., $60/$30 for students (by phone only)/$90 VIP

It’s old-school video game night at le Ritz, where patrons are invited to play any and all games made for Nintendo and Super Nintendo on a giant screen. 179 Jean-Talon W., 8 p.m., free
