Colours of Jazz is the Fine Arts Museum’s collection of paintings, sculptures and artifacts from the modernists of the Beaver Hall Group, Montreal’s answer to the Group of Seven in the early 1920’s. The Howl! arts collective hosts a benefit show for Montreal’s Native Friendship Centre, with performances by Jason Blackbird Selman (trumpet / poetry), a quartet featuring Sam Shalabi (oud), Stefan Christoff (piano), Jahsun (percussion), Mark Haynes (electric bass), artist Elena Stoodley and synth duo Moose Terrific (Shalabi and Tamara Filyavich).
