In conjunction with local designers, Want Agency and Ibiki Shop Montreal are holding a two day “back to business liquidation sale” at White Wall Studio, beginning today. 4532 Laval, 12-7 p.m., free entry

The MAC hosts a Nocturne tonight, and you won’t want to miss this last chance to see the David Altmejd and Jon Rafman exhibitions in a party atmosphere, with special cocktails and snacks plus beats from DJs Nils Fluck, Jonah Leslie and Seychelle. 185 Ste-Catherine W., 5 p.m.–2 a.m., $14/$10 students, free for MACarte holders

It’s the second day of OUMF, the back to school blowout street party in the UQAM Ghetto (prgrammed by the people behind M for Montreal), and tonight’s line-up (playing on two adjacent stages) reps the Montreal rap scene with Ragers, Dead Obies, Wasiu, Eman X Vlooper, Big Dream and Pic Paquette, and a headliner who just happens to be a hip hop legend: Grandmaster Flash. Desjardins stage (Ste-Catherine & Pasteur) and the Metro stage (just north of Emery on St-Denis), 6:30–11 p.m., free

As part of the multidisciplinary art/performance festival les Escales Improbables festival, 10,000 Horses — aka Montreal art-scene institutions Alexis O’Hara and Stephen Lawson playing the roles of Velvet and Lady Nite, “the house band in the bar at the end of the world” — launch their album Le Grande Silence. Considering the multifaceted talents behind this projects, this promises to be a spectacular event. Bain Mathieu (2915 Ontario E.), 8 p.m.

Day two of Montreal Psych Fest brings a pretty great bill of Montreal bands to la Vitrola, namely PyPy, Demons Claws, les Marinellis, Pachyderm and Paul Jacobs — these acts line the roughly defined “psych” spectrum from punk to garage to krautrock. 4602 St-Laurent, 9:30 p.m., $20

Downtown nightclub Newspeak is the site of Gauche, a party put together by fine local DJs Babi Audi, River Lance, Bongiovanni and Compton Chic. 1403 Ste-Elisabeth, 10 p.m., free
