Solids

Solids

Local indie rockers Solids are saying sayonara on the eve of their European tour, hosting a chill farewell party at Hochelaga’s Atomic Café, where they’ll be DJing (note: not playing live) and launching a zine featuring photos of life on the road, captured with a succession of disposable cameras. 3606 Ontario E., 6–9 p.m., free

The Festival Mode & Design ramps up today with a fashion show highlighting three local designers (Bodybag by Jude, Harricana by Mariouche and Hip & Bone), punctuated by live performances from magnetic electro-pop rising star APigeon plus contributions from New York visual artist Scooter Laforge. Stick around afterwards for the magnificent weirdness of eclectic local label CoolKoala Crew taking over the M.A.D. stage. Place des Festivals (Ste-Catherine & Balmoral), 7 p.m., free

Playwright/actor Alain Mercieca resurrects his bilingual comedy A Fat Man Dancing at Théâtre Sainte Catherine for a two-week engagement that launches tonight, following the escapades of a motley crew of Montreal street performers looking to Charlie Dibbles (Mercieca) for leadership. 264 Ste-Catherine E., 8 p.m., $10

Catch some ’80s synth waves at Kabinet’s Wednesday weekly Golden Dreams, bringing electro-pop, Italo disco, classic house, Afrobeat and funk to the cozy Mile End bar. 92 Laurier W., 8:30 p.m.

Art Not Love comes to Cagibi with performances by from ¡FLIST!, Kara Keith (UN), the Marquis and Ylang Ylang. 5490 St-Laurent, 9:30 p.m.
