Part one of our festival style gallery, featuring some of the weekend’s top fashion moments at Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Osheaga is a music festival first, but it’s also an experience. One of our favourite elements of that experience is festival style, and over the past three years, we’ve seen quite a few fashion trends come and go. Long and short lace shirts and coats, floral headbands of all shapes and sizes, big floppy-brimmed hats, lavender and platinum hair dyes, statement necklaces and black leather shorts were everywhere this year, whereas we saw far fewer outright costumes and matching outfits than we did in 2014, indicating that that trend (as fun as it was) has probably run its course.

With the kind of scorching heat and (briefly) pouring rain that we saw at Parc Jean-Drapeau over the weekend, the tendency is to dress for comfort, and the challenge is to do it with flair. Armed with the awesome 16-megapixel camera on the Samsung S6 phone, we captured some of the people who did it best in our sharpest style gallery yet:
