15 parties to be thankful for

It’s that time of year again where Canadians from coast coast to coast take pause and give gratitude for the fact that Monday is a stat holiday whether you’re a thankful believer or not. With the Thanksgiving long weekend comes many, many a party, to put us all in a mood of somber reflection for the impending debauchery of All Hallows Eve.

Here’s where you can shake a turkey leg this week.

Thursday: Kick it country-style with Big K.R.I.T. and guests Two-9, the Label of Creation and host DL Jones at Cabaret Underworld. K.R.I.T. gives love as hard live as he does on albums and mixtapes. You’ll be thankful you went. 1403 Ste-Elisabeth, 9 p.m., $35 (+$25 for meet ‘n’ greet upgrade)

At Blizzarts, MELT031 invites KenLo and his funk-ful offerings to the table. 3956 St-Laurent, 10 p.m.
