Food Secure Canada presents A Festival of Food Ideas, with over 200 food activists, vendors and entrepreneurs exploring new ways to think about what we eat and where it comes from (plus snacks!). Espace Lafontaine (3933 Parc Lafontaine), 6–11:30 p.m., free

Pop Montreal and the CCA partner-up to welcome Casablanca Chandigarh, a new exhibition about how urban planning played out in the modern development of these two cities. The vernissage features music from DJ Masala and a live show from Labess at 9 p.m. Canadian Center for Architecture (1920 Baile), 6:30 p.m., free

Cinéma du Parc screens SOMM, a documentary about the Court of Master Sommeliers and the intimidating Master Sommelier Exam. World-renowned sommelier Elyse Lambert will introduce the film and hold a post-screening Q&A. 3575 Parc, 7 p.m., $11.50

At the PHI Centre, you can check out an advance screening of British comedy Philomena, starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan. 407 St-Pierre, 7:30 p.m., $11.25
