When Montreal street art goes to Korea

Montreal artist Jesse Olwen brings his signature style of haute-twee stained glass-inspired installations and floral acrylics to South Korea. This is what it looks like.

Artwork and photo by Jesse Olwen.

Montreal artist Jesse Olwen has always been intrigued by what lies far afield, studying architecture in Singapore on a student exchange and currently residing in Incheon, South Korea. The emergent artist worked in stained glass for nearly a decade here on the island, while in Korea he is now honing his drafting skills as a tattoo apprentice at a parlour in Gangnam, Seoul.

The artist shared these snapshots with Cult MTL to show how Montreal street art translates abroad. ■
