State of The Arts: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Please join the English Language Arts Network (ELAN) in our next phase of the “SOTA on EDI” project this fall, by participating in an important conference on EDI in the arts!

This is YOUR opportunity to join the conversation, share ideas, and help plan the changes you want to see in the community.

What is SOTA on EDI? It’s our special project regarding the State of the Arts on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, which aims to further advance EDI initiatives in the English-language arts, culture and heritage community of Quebec.

The conference will be engaging, relevant, and is free of charge!

There are 2 different days of this conference:

Day 1 (Sept. 27) Online: We will present ELAN’s draft community action plan for EDI in the arts; gather feedback from all community stakeholders; discuss concrete next steps. 

Day 2 (Oct. 4): IN-PERSON (with zoom option): We will bring together artists and organizations for an engaging day of learning, sharing knowledge, and group discussions; ratify ELAN’s community action plan for EDI in the arts (revised from feedback received during Day 1).
