Release of the single Dans la folie de nos temps

Set to a laid-back ska rhythm, Dans la folie de nos temps (In the Madness of Our Times) evokes an uncertain future where individualism clashes with social indifference. A metaphor for our lives or turning inward, Dans la folie de nos temps is undoubtedly a catchy tune. First single from the upcoming EP by Nadine Altounji set to arrive this autumn, this new song playfully reminds us of the ups and downs in our lives.

Following her 2nd EP, The Stories That Tie Us To Trees – Vol. 1 released last year, Nadine Altounji continues her exploration of new sonic territories with Enracinées dans l’histoire– Vol. 2. With The Stories… Vol. 1, sung in Arabic and Spanish, the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist delved into her Syrian identity roots.

The upcoming release Enracinées dans l’histoire – Vol. 2, to be launched this fall, this time in the language of Molière (French), continues in with global sounds.

Nadine Altounji embarked on her solo career as a singer-songwriter in 2012. A skilled musician, she excels in piano, guitar, and oud. This spring, her song No lo olviden (Don’t Forget) was selected for a compilation of the renowned New York label Putumayo World Music.

With nearly thirty concerts as a solo artist under her belt, she’s performed in Paris, Seoul, Cusco, Abidjan, Urubamba, Mazunte, Vilcabamba, Ottawa, and Montreal. This upcoming autumn, Nadine Altounji will participate in the Folk Music Ontario Official Showcase.
