LiVE Virtual Presentation!

Join us for the second LiVE virtual presentation on December 30 at 7PM EST!

Organized by award-winning multimedia design company potatoCakes_digital, with support from the Associated Designers of Canada, LiVE aims to give artists a safe space to experiment with digital performance, to try and potentially fail, and to learn from one another’s experiences. In specially curated groups of four, artists will be given thirty hours over two months to respond to prompts and create a live experience. At the end of this period, the artists will livestream the results of their experiment for an audience of fellow creators and others. This presentation is not necessarily a performance, it can be any kind of live expression of the ideas that the group has been playing with.  The presentation will be followed by Q+A conversation with artists and audience in order to expand the live performance community’s knowledge around digital creation methods and ideologies.

LiVE is still looking for more creators to join the spring/summer 2022 series of experiments! This call is open to artists of any discipline and experience level – digital creators as well as those with no existing digital practice – to join them as part of a series of paid long-distance virtual collaborations.  A 1400 fee is offered to each experimenter, along with personalized group mentorship.  Applications for new participants are open until January 4th, 2022.
