Ciné-Concert: THE BLACK PIRATE 1926 with live musicians

Ciné-Concert: THE BLACK PIRATE 1926 with live musicians

Friday, May 20 , 7:30 p.m. to Saturday, May 21 , 9:30 p.m.

Get ready for an exciting night at the movies enjoyed the way people did nearly 100 years ago.
BLACK PIRATE star Douglas Fairbanks Sr. was the Depp-Chan-Cruise of the 1920s. His looks, charms and acrobatics could easily fill the epic scale of this classic pirate movie that was to be the model for all such movies that followed. One of the first films shot in Technicolor, our rare colour print gives you the full vintage experience. (With English intertitles and French sub-titles) Preceded by a surprise short film by Charlie Chaplin!
For added authenticity and thrills, all is presented as real film on the big screen in a stunning old gothic church, accompanied by live musicians led by pianist-composer Morgan-Paige Melbourne with violin and percussion.
Popcorn, snacks, beer and drinks available (for cash only)
Tickets may be purchased by visiting www.cineclubfilmsociety.com or at the door from 6pm the nights of the event.
