Age of Union Earth Centre Grand Opening

Age of Union Earth Centre Grand Opening

Saturday, Apr 30 , 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Age of Union will be hosting its public grand opening of the highly anticipated Earth Centre! The Earth Centre is an environmental arts exhibition space that will always offer FREE ENTRY to visitors, while also functioning as the non-profit organization’s headquarters.

Founded by Montrealer and tech leader, Dax Dasilva, Age of Union is a non-profit environmental alliance that supports and makes visible a global community of changemakers working on the ground to protect the planet’s threatened species and ecosystems.

The first floor of the Earth Centre will pay homage to the incredible international conservation work that the Age of Union alliance has funded, starting with the St. Lawrence River restoration project in partnership with Nature Conservancy of Canada in Québec, as well as the Las Piedras Amazon Rainforest sanctuary and ranger program expansion with Junglekeepers in Peru, and the patrol of critical ocean water to protect endangered marine wildlife around the world with Sea Shepherd via the Age of Union namesake vessel.

The upper level will showcase Nico Fonesca’s and Kelly Nune’s permanent interactive multimedia installation Earth Room, as well as the Anthro-Obscene in the Vitrine installation by Indigenous artists Adrian Stimson, and the Interactive Environmental Arcade with Écosystème Alpha by Aude Guivarc’h.
