11th Korean Film Festival Canada

11th Korean Film Festival Canada

Wednesday, May 22 , 6 p.m. to Friday, May 24 , 10 p.m.

Korean Film Festival Canada (KFFC) is a festival where we highlight films and media artworks delving into Korean, pan-Asian, and Asian Canadian perspectives, without limitations on nations or arts disciplines. This year we are hosting the 11th edition of KFFC on the theme “Arts & Technologies: Sleep, Dream, and Body.” Our mission is to bolster cultural diversity by connecting East and West, and provide platforms for production, dissemination, and dialogue.

Starting from May 22nd to 31st, we will be screening Asian short films, media arts and Asian Canadian Feature Films at Montréal’s renowned art center and cinemas: “Dazibao” and “Cinéma Moderne”. In addition, we are having workshops, art showings, in-person networking events, and Art-Talks during the month of May to boost our creativity and interactions with emerging and established artists.

The 11th KFFC is supported by Social Science and Humanity Research Councils in partnership with the Sociability of Sleep Project of the Moving Image Research Lab (MIRL) at McGill University, Centre d’études asiatiques (CÉTASE: Asian studies center) of l’Université de Montréal, Ada X, Dazibao, Cinéma Moderne, and many of the Korean community groups in Montréal.
