Montreal marks 381st anniversary: “The city is more beautiful & stronger than ever”

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante has issued a statement marking the 381st anniversary of the founding of the city.

Plante wished the city a Happy Birthday, stating that “Montreal is more beautiful and stronger than ever.”

In a second statement this morning, Plante thanked Montrealers for their solidarity in building a green, innovative and inclusive city.

“On this anniversary day, I want to say thank you to you, Montrealers. Thank you for bringing our neighbourhoods to life and for championing your ideals for a green, innovative and inclusive metropolis, which we are building together.”
