Quebec inflation rate fell to 4.7% in March; 5.4% in Montreal

Inflation in Canada decreased from 5.2% to 4.3% last month, still twice as high as the Bank of Canada’s target inflation rate of 2%.

According to the March update from the Institut de la statistique du Québec, the inflation rate in Quebec is 4.7%, down from 5.6% in February. The inflation rate in Montreal fell from 6.3% to 5.4% during the same time period.

The inflation rate in Canada decreased from 5.2% to 4.3%.
