Stikki Peaches S16 Montreal

Stikki Peaches & Lyle Owerko mount a Montreal gallery show at S16 on Thursday

The renowned Montreal wheat paste artist and L.A.-based photographer have a joint show at Station 16’s Westmount gallery.

Station 16’s satellite gallery in Westmount, S16 (1362 Greene), is presenting a show featuring new work by urban pop artists Stikki Peaches and Lyle Owerko, as well as their previous collaborative effort “Mechanica.”

Owerko is a photographer based in Los Angeles, while Stikki Peaches is the renowned Montreal wheat paste artist known for his celebrity mashups and “What if art ruled the world?” tagline. They were brought together by a shared love of exploring pop culture in their art.

“A retrospective body of work from Lyle’s archives spanning over 20-plus years of photography covering fashion editorials, portraiture, photojournalism, documentary photography, fine art photography and more. Diving into these files to give them a second life and new story.”
