La Semaine des Arts NDG Arts Week Montreal 2022

NDG Arts Week hosts live music, parties, visual art & more from Aug. 15 to 21

La Semaine des Arts NDG is back with a program full of in-person fun for Montrealers of all ages, with much of the action happening in Girouard Park.

The lucky 13th edition of NDG Arts Week kicks off today, with a back-to-normal, in-person, post-pandemic program of live music, visual art, parties and film screenings in Notre-Dame-de-Grace.

The week-long event series runs from Aug. 15 to Aug. 21 at a handful of indoor and outdoor venues, with much of the action concentrated in Girouard Park, site of a pop-up biergarten from Wednesday through Saturday.

Other events in the park include the Samedi in the Park concert on Saturday night (7–10 p.m.), featuring Sarah MK, Becca TG and DJ SERIOUSBLACK, le Cinéclub Film Society’s retrospective of 100 years of animated shorts on Friday (8–10 p.m.), a MAFA dance show on Tuesday (7–10 p.m.) and an all-grrrl punk show featuring Scarlet Wives and Rope Skills on Wednesday (7–10 p.m.).

Today’s launch event for NDG Arts Week is a 5à7 vernissage for an exhibition called Provoke (Inspire Change), a series of photo portraits of influential members of the community, at Hampton Gallery.

NDG Arts Week will close with the St-Raymond block party at Upper Lachine and Melrose on Sunday (2–6 p.m.), featuring Milla Tyme and Remy Pica$$o.
