PHOTOS: Hundreds gather at downtown Montreal rally in support of Ukraine

Support and solidarity for Ukraine and denouncements of Vladimir Putin were on full display in the city this weekend.

Place du Canada square in downtown Montreal was the site of a rally in support of Ukraine on Sunday afternoon. Hundreds of protesters gathered in the cold and blowing snow to denounce the Russian invasion and Vladimir Putin, and to offer prayers and solidarity to the Ukrainian people.

Also on Sunday, Canada banned all Russian aircraft from its airspace, following the lead of a number of European countries.
