Canadians federal government cares Justin Trudeau

Just 36% of Canadians believe the federal government cares about issues important to them

Women over 55 were the most likely to agree that the government is attuned to issues they feel are important.

A new poll by the Angus Reid Institute has found that just 36% of Canadians believe the federal government cares about issues they find important.

Women over 55 were the only segment where the majority (51%) agreed. 7 in 10 men under 55 disagreed with the same statement.

“As a significant minority believes political compromise is unattainable, many are disillusioned with the federal government itself. 3 in 5 (59%) believe Ottawa does not care about issues that are important to them.”
