$3-million to develop the Quartier des Spectacles this summer

“There is no doubt that downtown Montreal will be vibrant this summer.”

Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante has announced an investment of $3-million to develop outdoor public spaces within the Quartier des Spectacles, and organize fun activities for Montrealers this summer. This amount is part of a $25-million investment with the Quebec government aimed at attracting more people downtown to support local businesses.

Valérie Plante made the announcement in the Quartier des Spectacles this morning, optimistic on the eve of restaurant terrasses reopening.

“I am happy to see the extent of the mobilization of the actors involved and the fruit of their creativity. There is no doubt that the city centre will be vibrant this summer.”
