Now in its ninth edition, the Montreal Salon du disques et des arts underground brings together over 120 vendors including record collectors, visual artists, zine-makers, photographers and more for a huge two-day bazaar today and tomorrow. 5075 Rivard, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. daily

Soccer fans can check out the Montreal Impact home opener against Toronto FC in the vast concrete environs of the Olympic Stadium. 4141 Pierre de Coubertin, 3 p.m., $47.50–$133

(Though tickets are sold out, there’s another significant sports event happening in Montreal that could be worth catching on TV: those of you still experiencing Olympic withdrawal should check out the International Speed Skating short track championships today and tomorrow on CBC at 1:20 p.m.)

Find the funny end of your St-Patrick’s Day rainbow at Théàtre Ste-Catherine (264 Ste-Catherine E.) with back-to-back comedy specials, both featuring Toronto-based comic Kirsten Rasmussen. First up is a special Fitness edition of The Sketch Republic with local troupes Solid Bronze and Ska Band (8 p.m., $8/$6 students) followed by a Ladyfest presentation of Pot-O’-Gals, an all-lady lineup including Tatyana Olal, Laura Flynn, Tracy Hurren, Sehar Manji, Amanda McQueen and Emma Wilkie (10 p.m., $10/$8 students or those wearing all green or some gold)

Minneapolis hip hop duo Atmosphere play Montreal as part of their 10-date Welcome to Canada tour with Evidence (of Dilated Peoples) opening. Théâtre Corona Virgin Mobile (2490 Notre-Dame W.), 8:30 p.m., $28/$33, all ages

Connecticut indie rock/synth-pop bros MGMT play MTelus tonight with opener Matthew Dear. 59 Ste-Catherine E., 8 p.m., $54.55-$59.75

Montreal and NYC collaborative quarterly art and music zine Canvas & Cassette, focused on the way artists and musicians influence each other, launch their second edition with a release party and show at Cagibi featuring performances from Gabrielle Marlena, Butterome and Sorry Girls. 5490 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., PWYC, issues of the zine available for $8
