Toronto’s monthly Ghoulesque Revue is on tour, and tonight the “Dark Carnival edition” of the horror/burlesque show — co-sponsored by Rue Morgue magazine — lands at Katacombes. Expect creepy, gory, sexy stuff from 11 performers including a pair of go-go dancers and four local burlesque stars (the Lady Josephine and Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière among them). 1635 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $15/$20

Dance like you mean it at Gumbo, a touring party event focused on African and Caribbean music — Afrobeat, soca, kompa, dancehall, baile funk, Afrohouse and beyond — care of founding DJs Camron and Sean Sax and local guests Don Barbarino and Mr. Touré. Artgang (6524 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $10 with guest list RSVP/more at the door

The 13th edition of recurring LGBT-oriented party LIP is importing Boston’s Isabella for a live performance, along with Softcoresoft and your host/founder/DJ Frankie Teardrop. Bar le Ritz (179 Jean-Talon W.), 11 p.m.

Monthly Mile End party Moonshine has a stacked bill tonight, with Seattle’s Shabazz Palaces joining DJ Windows 98, Pierre Kwenders, Booty Bakery and B.Kojak to play house and Afro into the wee hours, with visuals by VJ Boycott. New secret location, 11 p.m., $5 before midnight/$10 midnight to 2 a.m./$15 after
