Today’s Mural Fest related activities along the Main include live art creation at Galerie Bloom (4141 St-Laurent, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.), a Silent Disco Squad dance party art tour (Mont-Royal metro, 1 p.m., free), live-painting by Waxhead at a block party in front of Eva B (2015 St-Laurent, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.) and a huge Osheaga Block Party with Salva, Goldlink, Kaytranada and more (St-Laurent / Prince Arthur, 1–10 p.m., $5).

There’s also plenty of Fringe Festival action today, with over 40 shows to pick from, plus an artisan market at the MAI (3680 Jeanne-Mance, 1–9 p.m., free), and a program of free shows at Fringe Park (St-Laurent / Rachel) including an afternoon dance party by Piknic Élektronic (1–6:30 p.m.) and a showcase from the Montreal Folk Festival with Durham County Poets, Nancy Wallace, Jesse Speed and more (7–10 p.m.).

Rock Camp for Girls teams up with Suoni per il Popolo to host Who’s in the Front?, an afternoon discussion about lived experiences across the gender spectrum within the cadré of the live music scene. Panelists include Sophie Trudeau (Godspeed You! Black Emperor), Naïka Champaïgne Boissinotte-Alexis and Magassy “Mags” M’bow (both of Strange Froots), Dorthia Cottrell (Windhand), Gambletron and visual artist Dayna Danger. Syrian singer Omar Souleyman plays Theatre Fairmount with Tasseomancy (a Montreal/Toronto duo who are launching a new record next week) and the Body Meta DJs. 5240 Parc, 10 p.m., $25

Check out the vernissage for a solo retrospective exhibition of work by Lady SpecialK (Keithy Antoine), a collection of her screenprinted pop artworks from 2002–2014. Galerie D (1200 Amherst, #102), 5 p.m., free

In Mile End tonight, join DJs Lexis, Poirier, Ghostbeard, Seriousblack, Scott C and Sweet Daddy Luv for a summer celebration called Jump Off!, with proceeds supporting the Montreal United Basketball Program. Eglise St-Michel (105 St-Viateur W.), 10 p.m., $10
