Chatime Bubble Tea Lounge is launching a new location on Parc Avenue, and they’re offering free bubble tea there all day long to mark the occasion. One per customer, all flavours except mousse and coffee. 3428 Parc, till 10 p.m.

Head to Mile Ex for Alexandraplatz’s one-day May Market, with over 20 exhibitors selling their wares, plus lots of workshops and festive vibes. 6750 Esplanade, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.

It’s the second annual National Drone Music Day, an observance  dreamt up by the people at Weird/Wyrd Canada, and 15 local acts are playing Eastern Bloc to mark the occasion, among them Aim Low, Gambletron, Maugg and Nick Schofield. 7240 Clark, 3:30 p.m., (note that this event has been moved from la Passe)

The organizers of tonight’s Makers Meetup are “calling all doers, makers, hackers, tinkerers, artists, crafters, engineers, educators, designers and geeks” to Helios Makerspace to discuss their projects, exchange ideas and network. 137 St-Ferdinand, 6 p.m., free

Lemonheads fans from back in the day, anyone on a ’90s trip and fans of seasoned singer-songwriter and alt-rocker Evan Dando will converge on Bar le Ritz tonight, where he’ll be playing with opener Willy Mason. 179 Jean-Talon W., 9:30 p.m., $15/$20

Cabaret Playhouse will be the site of Bossy, a Missy Elliott party presented by Cerise sur le Gâteau. The DJs are S(h)am, Hua Li and Lykk, and there’ll be a performance by Big Sissy at midnight. 5656 Parc, 10 p.m., $5 before midnight/$7 after
