11 parties to shift your poles this weekend

The best DJ nights, dance parties and legends on stage in Montreal right about now.

shineIt took me a little longer than I’d have liked to get back from the holidays but I was busy catching up on every single Twitter rap beef and subsequent self-approving bit of underlying racism in comments online. You people are nutty.

Yeah, I said “you people.” I include myself.

But I had some real conversations here and there, about this and that, with people who make actual things happen in, around and outta town. And the state of the union is Shine. The city is lookin’ good. I do believe 2015 will make our music scene proud.

The rest of the world, maybe not so much. It’s really real out there so far this year. People are even scared about the polar shift again. You know, the one that late-night conspiracy radio says will demagnetize our memories and throw the planet into darkness, leaving us all blinded, howling, blood-thirsty zombies? Geez, imagine that.

And now today, the symbolic “doomsday clock” has us ebbing ever closer to midnight.

So since I’m way past too late to wish you a good one, without any fear, allow me at least to point you toward a space to create your own positive polar shift this weekend.
