The Waste Land — A Ritual in Five Acts

The Waste Land — A Ritual in Five Acts

Thursday, Jun 5 7:30 p.m. to Saturday, Jun 14 6 p.m.

A haunting reimagining of T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land. This five-act ritual blends poetry, movement, and visual art into a meditation on collapse, memory, and rebirth for an age of ecological collapse, digital disconnection, and spiritual exhaustion. Set in a deconsecrated church and performed by Montreal/NYC based artist Gavin Sewell, the piece blends poetry, movement, and sculptural installation into a 45-minute descent through ruin and ritual. Equal parts lamentation and incantation, it invites audiences to feel the full weight of our cultural disintegration—then rise, changed. Part of the 2025 Montreal Fringe festival, tickets available now!
