The Total Veronica Experience @ The Montreal FRINGE

In this imaginative one hour dramedy, Veronica—a Black American woman living in  Montreal—wakes up in a nondescript room with no windows, one door, and no memory  of how she got there. She’s soon greeted by THA VOICE, an omniscient, unseen being  who seems to know everything about her—including the fact that she died choking on  artisanal bacon while watching cat videos.  What follows is a richly layered and deeply funny dialogue between life and the afterlife.  Veronica is forced to confront the defining moments of her existence: childhood  memories, complicated family dynamics, race and identity, lost dreams, and flashbacks  of performing Janet Jackson routines. At the heart of the play is a question we all ask:  What was it all for?
