Sex, Desire and Data invites us to explore the complexity, richness, and flux of our carnal desires in an age of data. What lies behind our digital interfaces? What hidden algorithms code the parameters of our yearning and lust?

We live in an era where our senses of self can be so entangled between real and virtual that they feel inseparable. However, in the transition between the physical and the digital, some have discovered a playground of new possibilities – a place to role-play, experiment, and explore identity. In this space, where we curate what we see and who we are, in what sense are we in control of and informed by the shape of our reflections?

What systems govern our desires as we migrate into these digital environments? What is lost, reshaped, or created to fit within the code, and what does the technological world understand of our sensual needs when they are translated and processed? This exhibition is an opportunity to step back and examine the systems at work that structure, filter, remodel, and repackage them for us.

Sex, Desire and Data is a sensory-rich exploration of the many hands working together to weave the intricate fabric mapping our intimacy.
