Jesse Plessis¬†est un pianiste et compositeur canadien et membre de la nation m√©tisse de la Colombie-Britannique. Ses professeurs comprennent Doug Lyon, Arne Sahlen, Allen Reiser, Deanna Oye, Megumi Masaki, Paul Stewart, Norma Fisher, Edith Fischer, Arlan N. Schultz, Patrick Carrabre, Jarred Dunn et Philippe Leroux. Il se produit r√©guli√®rement partout au Canada, on l’a entendu sur les sc√®nes d’Angleterre et d’Europe. Ses compositions ont √©t√© command√©es et interpr√©t√©es partout au Canada par d’√©minents solistes, groupes de chambre et orchestres et diffus√© sur CBC Radio. En 2020, il a d√©velopp√© une dystonie focale, une maladie neuromusculaire qui lui a handicap√© la main droite. Tout en travaillant √† sa r√©cup√©ration, il continue de se produire sur sc√®ne, mais se concentre davantage sur la composition et la recherche et entreprend des √©tudes doctorales en composition √† l’Universit√© McGill gr√Ęce √† la bourse d’excellence Schulich.

Jesse Plessis is a Canadian pianist and composer, and is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia. His teachers include Doug Lyon, Arne Sahlen, Allen Reiser, Deanna Oye, Megumi Masaki, Paul Stewart, Norma Fisher, Edith Fischer, Arlan N. Schultz, Patrick Carrabre, Jarred Dunn, and Philippe Leroux. He performs regularly across Canada, he has been heard on stages across England and Europe. His compositions have been commissioned and performed across Canada by prominent soloists, chamber groups, and orchestras, and broadcast on CBC Radio. In 2020 he developed focal dystonia, a neuromuscular condition which disabled his right hand. While working on recovery, he continues to perform, but is concentrating more on composition and research, and entered doctoral studies in composition at McGill University supported by the Schulich Excellence Fellowship.
