Poke & Plate-Lunch: An Authentic Hawaiian Experience

The Kama’āina Experience is an authentic local-Hawai’i food pop-up, that delivers the cuisine of traditional Hawaiian, to the food of today’s modern culinary scene in Hawai’i. 

Their Poke dishes emulate the same style as you find in the markets and restaurants in Hawai’i – fresh Sashimi grade Ahi Poke, marinated in Hawai’i style marinades. In Hawai’i, they sell Poke by pound, and that is just what The Kama’āina Experience has done. 

Their first pop-up last year, at the former Baba Thai restaurant, sold 80 lbs of Ahi (tuna), as well as plate-lunches. They were featured in Time Out Market Montreal Magazine (article here)

This year, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, they are holding their pop-up at Restaurant L’Orignal in Old Montreal, offering pre-set menus, à la carte options, cocktails, desserts, and Hawaiian entertainment. Although there are no tickets to be purchased for this event, the minimum order to dine-in is $80 per person. There is a take-out/pick-up option as well, with a minimum order of $80. A reservation is required for dining in.
