bleu de lieu: family workshop

bleu de lieu: family workshop

Sunday, Oct 2 , 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

As part of the Journées de la culture 2022, the PHI Foundation invites families to a creative activity facilitated by the collective doux soft club. This activity will take place in the interactive installation bleu de lieu, and will invite children and adults to carry out a series of individual and collective movement-based exercises inspired by doux soft club’s work. These exercises highlight various ways of engaging with the sensorial: through tactility, textures, colours, sounds, noises, and their effects on our bodies and environments.

bleu de lieu is a public engagement project conceived by doux soft club in conjunction with the exhibition Yayoi Kusama: DANCING LIGHTS THAT FLEW UP TO THE UNIVERSE. Conceived as a participatory installation, the work invites the public to stay, to rest, to meditate and to interact with the different elements found in our Education Room. For the occasion, the room has been dipped in the characteristic hue of doux soft club’s works. Oscillating between abstract sculptures and furniture elements, the installation’s welcoming shapes are meant to be used and moved around, and are thus constantly reshaped by our visitors’ presence.

The event will take place in French.
