ASSEMBLAGE by Timoh Garcia x L’original

Wednesday, Aug 9, 6 p.m. to Wednesday, Sep 20, 11 p.m.

Opening of the Exhibition “ASSEMBLAGE” by Multidisciplinary Artist Timoh Garcia
Galerie L’Original is delighted to present the exhibition “ASSEMBLAGE” by the multidisciplinary
artist Timoh Garcia, from August 9th to August 20th, 2023, at 163 Saint-Paul West Street, Montreal.
This captivating exhibition will shine a light on Timoh’s original and diverse creative process,
distinguished by his talent for storytelling through fascinating assemblages. You are invited to attend
the vernissage cocktail event on August 9th, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Timoh Garcia, an artist with a unique approach:
Hailing from the Mediterranean and based in Montreal, Timoh Garcia is a passionate artist who
explores cities and uncovers their abundance of materials. With degrees in Visual Art and
Audiovisual, his art transcends various disciplines, primarily utilizing wood as his canvas and
incorporating diverse materials collected during his urban journeys.
An exhibition that provokes contemplation:
“ASSEMBLAGE” extends an invitation to explore Timoh’s complex world, where each artwork bears
a sociological marker, revealing his reflections on human activity and its impact on our physical and
mental environment. “From what may seem like an absurd, randomly chaotic assemblage, I intend to
explore human activity, its impact, and the energy lost. I am drawn to the poetry that emerges from
this raw and frontal construction. Through my work, I seek to provoke questions about beauty,
transience, entropy, utility, and futility.” The artist’s distinctive creations bear witness to his
perspective as a world traveler, emphasizing forgotten mechanics and noble machines integrated into
the backdrop of our everyday lives.
The vernissage will be an exceptional opportunity to personally meet Timoh Garcia. The gallery will
introduce you to the artist, enabling you to explore his creations and engage in discussions about his
rich and meaningful artistic approach. You may bring a member of the press along with you if you
wish. For those interested in writing an article about the event and seeking additional details, please
