ARTivism – Full Circle X The DPP Hub

ARTivism – Full Circle X The DPP Hub

Monday, Aug 29 , 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Join us on Monday, August 29th at 6 pm for a LIVE session on ARTivism in collaboration with Full Circle (part of Project 10) celebrating Queerness Around the World!

ARTivism is an informal space to unpack, discuss and explore ART & ACTIVISM from bright, inspiring artists, activists and artivists of the Montreal/Tiohtià:ke territory! You can view the event on Facebook Live on our Facebook page or register on Zoom to take part in the discussion more actively!

This space will be co-hosted by Sandra Mouafo, our amazing ARTivism coordinator, and Reina Calafia, a stunning gender-fluid artist. Our guest for this event will be Samanta Nyinawumuntu; an astounding community organizer and founder & director of the Black Healing Centre!

– Samanta Nyinawumuntu’s mission is to facilitate and co-create intentional spaces that center a healing justice framework for people who are, and have been historically marginalized.
– Reina Calafia was born after a bright and colourful sunset behind the mountains of a sandy beach in the Gulf of California. Her name is an appropriation of an outdated celebration of colonialism that happens every year in the South of the peninsula of Baja California.

Tune in with your favorite tea (or wine) as we take pride in our plural queerness through discussions centering identity, drag, queer culture, immigration and more!

Come join us in this space of ART, ACTIVISM and DECOLONIALITY at the Hub!

We hope to see you there!
