A Paisley Mind

A Paisley Mind

Saturday, Jun 7 9:15 p.m. to Sunday, Jun 15 2:15 p.m.

When your memory fades, who will you remember?

During this year’s Montreal Fringe Festival, Fringe powerhouse Half Twin Theatre will be presenting Gabrielle Banville’s award-nominated play, A Paisley Mind, a bilingual solo show on dementia. Back with a fresh script, the piece has garnered a new life after dramaturgical support from Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal.

‘Marie-Claire is 85… and 11, and 33… As waves of her past and present crash together, three people are her only anchors: her son, her first queer love, and her husband.’

“A heartfelt monologue… [The audience] was thrilled with Banville’s magical transformation into an 85-year-old woman. And rightly so.”
— Faith Langston, Westmount Magazine

Honouring those who have inspired A Paisley Mind, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Société Alzheimer de Montréal, an organization that alleviates the social and personal consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders through the development and delivery of leading-edge intervention, care and support services in Montreal.
