The Deep End

Plug in your keytar and get your running shoes on for the 2012 Oasis Rock ‘n’ Roll Montreal Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. If you’re not participating in the run or playing in one of the bands along the routes, be aware that a whole mess of streets will be closed in the city until around 3:15 p.m. today. Details on the event and street closures can be found here. See stm.info for affected bus routes. Various locations, free

Of all the unique screenings at Film Pop, the craziest is probably this afternoon’s screening of 1970 German psychodrama The Deep End in an actual swimming pool. Bring your own flotation device for a pool party unlike any other. Trylon Apartments Pool, 3463 Sainte-Famille, 3:30 p.m., $10

POP presents Where the River Got the Water Remix, a collaborative music, art and dance performance piece by dancer Hanako Hoshimi-Caines with music by Katie Moore and a rotating crew of surprise special guests, revising the original performance at Suoni per il popolo in 2010. Ukrainian Federation (5213 Hutchison), 4 p.m., $10

Preview the future of Montreal fashion at Fashion POP. Designer contestants Camille Forcherio, Christine Charlebois, Danica Olders, Duc Nguyen, Marie Darsigny and Vicki Dubois will each do a runway presentation of a small collection, and judges will award the best of the fest $1000, a pop-up exhibit in Espace POP and a spread in Worn Fashion Journal. Église POP Little Burgundy (5035 St-Dominique), 7 p.m., free

Puces Pop is back! Pick up the very best in crafts, including jewelry, housewears, vintage and independent designer clothes, baked goods, personal products and anything else a creative mind might think to make. Église St-Michel (105 St-Viateur W.), 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., free

Go digging at Pop’s annual Record Fair, with tons of vinyl finds from local dealers and tables by local indie labels. Ukrainian Federation (5213 Hutchison, basement), 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., free entry
